Description
EzWay Direct Kplex-15 PCR Kit (Kplex-15D kit) is a Short Tandem Repeat (STR) multiplex assay that amplifies the sex-determining marker, amelogenin and 14 autosomal STR loci (D5S818, TH01, D18S51, D3S1358, D7S820, D21S11, D6S1043, TPOX, vWA, D16S539, CSF1PO, D8S1179, D13S317, FGA) in a single PCR reaction without any prior DNA purification. It shares the same loci with AmpFlSTR® Identifiler™ PCR Amplification Kit except only two loci, D2S1338 and D19S433. D6S1043 included in the kit is not CODIS core loci but very informative and used in Sinofiler and PolwerPlex 21 kit.

Also, Kplex-15 primer system reflects the primer binding mutations to keep concordance between the kits, especially Identifiler series. All Kplex-15 series keep the same primer sequences to sustain kit concordance between evidence samples and reference samples when used in criminal DNA database.
